What is actually different about Arizona

Almost everything that happens in Arizona happens in or around Phoenix. For businesses that means the map pack in one metro is the whole game, and the openings sit in Tucson, Mesa and Scottsdale, where the same search returns a thinner and older set of results. Treating the state as one uniform market is the most common way to lose money here.

Because Arizona spans desert lowlands around Phoenix and Tucson, high country around Flagstaff, proximity signals matter differently. A listing that is technically nearest is not always the one a searcher can reach, and pages that acknowledge real travel times outperform ones that pretend the whole state is a single service area.
